help buying auto meters

i will be upgrading to autometer gauges for my camaro.

do i need a mechanical or electric speedo?

for a fuel gauge, do i need to drop the tank to install it? which one would be appropriate, i have no idea what they are talking about

0 empty - 30 full
0 empty - 90 full
16 empty - 158 full
240 empty - 33 full
73 empty - 10 full
programmable

You should need ,0 to 90 ohms for fuel gauge.Electrical gauge will hook up to stock wiring in the dash.For the speedo,I put a electronic auto meter in my
85Z,and put a hall effect sender in on the tranny.This replaces the cable drive
from the original speedo.The original vss is built into the stock dash.Are you replacing all gauges?.Best to use all electric gauges.Hope this helps.

LOVE ALL MY AUTOMETER STUFF....I have a 3 Pillar Pod on Drivers side with the Volt-Oil Pressure and Water Temp in it And All my Gauges glow in a Purple/Blue Color...They Are AWESOME !!Even The Shift Light Glows....Just my

Hi,here is a link to the sender,it's a autometer part.I would assume you have a cable driven speedo at the moment?.The hall effect sender goes in to the tranny,where the cable now goes,and generates a electrical signal that goes to the autometer speedo.
