Vacuum tubing

I have a couple of heater control units on hand but I have never been able to get enough of the multi colored tubing to reach where they need to go on none of these.Has anyone tried splicing pieces of these things together?I am not going to have A/C so do I even need them?I am not even sure where I am going to pick up vacuum off the engine to operate them any way.Maybe a small port of the carb?

Thanks,I don't remember any small ports on back only for the brake booster. It's an older Holley, not many ports on it.I have the wife looking around at the hospital where she works for somthing to splice the tubes together with,I'm thinking something like IV attachments or maybe even cut up some large hypodermic needles or something.

Re: Vacuum tubing

Go to autozone and get a vacume tube splice kit for a couple of bucks and fix your problem!! It has several t's and reducers in it. I think it's in the help section.

Re: Vacuum tubing

You should be able to pick up vacuum splices at a Checker or Autozone. Just a piece of plastic that both tubes slide onto, and then two little clamps for each tube end.

Edit: NINJA'd!

Re: Vacuum tubing

Thanks guys,I have seen the splice kits for underhood type vacuum hoses but the silicone ones on the HVAC controls are tiny.I probably overlooked them before, wasn't looking for ones this small before.

I agree-get ones from the parts store not the hospital. very inexpensive.
