Tan interior?

ok i have a 87 trans am with maroon paint and interior. It has all the GTA options except t-tops. I found a firebird in the junkyard that has a nice tan interior, good seats, and all that. Does any one have pictures of this installed and clean in a car? Or how rare is my interior compared to it? I either want gray or tan and can't decide. I know this is not the for sale section but if anyone has tan interior they would like to sell pm prices and shipping or whatever.

Re: Tan interior?

Tan is very common & next to red, IMHO, the second most discarded/changed out color

Re: Tan interior?

87T/A, do you have the red cloth GTA seats? Mine are in awful shape, especially the driver seat.

Re: Tan interior?

Um i could sell some once i get some tan. And the seats have all that power lumber and stuff, i think they are gta's. They arent great at all, the seat lift up plate is broke so the seat lifts up on the left side of the driver seat, and is annoying to drive but if i got tan interior i might let them go cheap. If you know anyone changing or discarding the tan interior let me know.

Re: Tan interior?

What lift cover are you talking about? The one that covers the storage area like a fourth gen? I might be interested in gray. I have 85 IROC-Z gray seats in my car now and i like that they don't get that hot in the sun.

Re: Tan interior?

I dont know why Tan is such a "discarded" or disliked colour.... I guess people feel it gets dirty too quickly or something. I used to love black interiors, until i saw them in a thirdgen..... I cant stand them now. Just a preference, but they have a very "dirty" apperance to them.

I also dont like grey interiors. They seem to not show the dirt very well, and everything kinda blends in, so it always looks the same. I also associate dirty with grey. AGAIN (personal preference). Im sure any interior can be made to look nice, but thats just my preference.

Heres a couple pix of MY tan interior, that will always be tan. My front seats are torn, so they are under covers. Im working on getting replacements.

Slighty older one. (i dont have good shots of the back) but this is what most people see anyway.

Excuse the mess (in the middle of a sound system install).

Re: Tan interior?

Yeah thats what i wanted to see.... I like how the bottom panels on the dash are tan to. I have the digital dash so i think that would look good with it. I plan on putting one of those a pillar gauge pods in for other guages that the dash don't have like boost when i out my turbo on. thanks for the pictures. I hope to have mine up soon.
