Shift **** removal??
91 Z28 convt. auto trans
Want to remove leather covered shift ****
Can't find any clip or staple
Is it up inside the leather or does it come off another way?
Is it located on the engine side of the ****?

the clip is on the front of the shifter (facing the radio), pretty high up. A small flat head screw driver pops it out.
