And so it begins

Finally decided to do my restoration that I've been putting off forever. Going to start with with a full detail and restoration of the dash, then interior. Dash is priority as I plan to DD it again ( she's sat untouched for the past 2 years)..hard to drive in it's current "theft deterrent" condition. One thing I need to confirm; any of the bright yellow wiring with the big yellow connectors is related to the airbag correct? I want to pull all the aribag wiring and components out, to include it's computer..which I believe is the silver box in the picture. Also, are the 2 black boxes with yellow connectors on the trans tunnel sensors for the airbag? If so..they are about to be gone. Time to go detail the firewall area while there is still light.

For those of you familiar with SEM interior dyes, which black is the best match for the GM black. Debating between the Satin or the Landau black..gloss seems to shiny, or do they have a GM factory match black. I dodn't notice one when I was checking their website.

Yea the silver box is the computer. I'm confused with the black boxes are they the once under the steering colum? The interior dyes I would stay away from gloss because its hard to blend in to carpit and doors.

Re: And so it begins

The black boxes both sit under the center console, one next to the E-brake, the other up under the radio/ climate control pod. The first two pics in my second post show them. Once I know what all items are SIR related, I'm going to open up the harness and remove all the wiring and sensors for it.
