Will Hurst Pro-stick or B&M Quarter stick fit with stock shifter plate?

Any one have one of these shifters installed and able to retain the use of the stock automatic shifter plate somehow? I'd like to use one of these but want a good looking install. I don't think Hurst makes the dual gate anymore and I don't like the look of the megashifter.

I know this is old, but I was trying to find some pro stick installs now. Just picked one up and like you said, I am not to fond of the mega shifter. Do you have any pics?

This was from when I had an '82 Z28 briefly...long since sold so I never proceeded with the project. Keep us posted if you give it a try.
