so pretty much ive looked every where to find new a center console the one where the shifter is and im rebuilding the whole interior making it mostly custom i was thinking about making it out of just a nice polished metal any ideas on the design?? just looking for imput

 

I would not reccomend polished aluminum... If youve ever driven a car with a lot of polished metal in the bright sunlight, you will understand. the glare can be like mirrors inside your car. Brushed aluminum could be pretty cool if you did it right.

 

i was also thinking either red or black coat on the metal i just hate the plastic bs

 

maybe some black anodized aluminum?

 

Yes, I say make your own. You could use wood and then cover it in some material. I've done one in the past.
