4th gen interior dome light
after alot of though ive decided to do a fourth gen interior swap, and i only got a couple parts right now. one of the ones i got is the dome light out of an 02 camaro, and i was wondering if anybody has ever swapped one of these in and if so how/any pics? im startin real slow on this project, so far all i got is a mirror, shifter and e brake handle from the same car installed but i figure if im gonna do it im going ta go all out cuz thats how i am when i start something. if no one has any ideas ill just try it myself and tell you how it goes, but thought id check here first and didnt find anything when doing a search. thanks for any help
Re: 4th gen interior dome light
I've never seen it done.
I'm not sure if it would be a good idea because of where the thirdgen dome light location vs 4th gen location. Plus, the thirdgen one helps hold up the headliner. If you put it where the 3rd gen one is then it might be better but might look out of place. I remember trying to put one in but decided not to.
I'd hate to shoot down a creative idea but not everything is swappable, like the backseat speaker panels for example.

I have and overhead console....but what I did do is swap in a 4th gen rear view mirrior. Those little map lights udner it really come in handy. They're bright and convienient to turn on and off.
If I were you Ide just leave the factory dome light. Maybe try to find a new lens so its nice and white instead of yellow to freshen it up.
