dash pad removal

Hello, I feel really stupid asking this, but my 83 camaro dash pad will not come out. I have used the search feature and found that there are four screws in the defrost vents and five or six under the front of the pad. I have removed all of them and the pad acts like it is stuck, am I missing something or do I need more muscle.

Re: dash pad removal

it should come right out, double check and see if all the screws are out underneath, unless someone before you glued it in or something like that

Re: dash pad removal

Thanks for the info, but not glued. I found that the previous owner had a body shop install a pad cover. Those yahoos used three pieces of body moulding tape all the way across the front of the dash to hold the pad in. I guess they didn't know what the screws did . Thanks again for the help.
