Seat Covers
How hard is it to install the seat covers in a 83 TA. I saw the OEM in
Classic Ind. for $379.00 a set. Never done it before.
Thanks
Al

Re: Seat Covers
I did it to my last Camaro, and I did not think that it was too hard at all actually. There is really not much to it. If you look, there may be some videos on youtube or google or something that will kind of guide you through the process.
Basically, it goes like this: Take your seats apart(completely, meaning remove seat tracks, separate upper and lower parts, etc), cut the hog rings holding the old upholstery on, slip new upholstery on (Tip: on the seat backs, it helps to turn the cover inside out and roll it down the piece), put seats back together. Another tip: I went to the hardware store and bought a pair of hog ring pliers (about ten bucks), because I was not aware that the cover kit came with one, and you may want to do the same because the one in the kit is crap and mine ended up in the garbage.
