Re: Noises From Dash???
Like the dash, or behind the radio?
May have to pull the radio or guages out, and see what you find loose.
I know that under my dash, the vent tube are laying there, could be something like that free to move around.

There are a bunch of heater/ ac controls behind the radio on the passenger side that could be vibrating. Does it make this noise if you move say from max to def ect ?

Re: Noises From Dash???
one of the 6 screws holding my dash pad on was missing, and my dash pad would vibrate sometimes. When I replaced the screw, the vibrating stopped. It would be worth your time to make sure all those screws are tight.

Re: Noises From Dash???
Hope you fix it. I had a creak in the left side of the dash and it got worse when I would brake. turned out it was the door hinge. I sprayed a little WD40 and it's fine now.

Re: Noises From Dash???
welcome to the wonderful world of gm and their quality craftsmanship.
i got rid of mine, and i have had the car since it was new in 90, by taking the dash apart, using locking washers where i could, taping what ever was close to each other together, using felt pads where the dash made contact with the body and other dash parts, and it took most of a weekend the last time. it only took a few years to get rid of them all, until i rebuilt the suspension a few months back, and now it squeeks.
you gotta love gm quality control, along with their absolute refusal to actually follow the plans the enginers designed for putting the car together, which means things are not where they are supposed to be.
give it a decade or so and you will know every squeek and rattle and will be able to handle them all. if you last that long - you are a true 3rd gen fan and you would have been better off becoming a heroin adict as this will consume you more than any drug, but the high is better.
if you dont last a decade then you need to buy a honda. you never have to do anything to them and no one will ever notice you car and almost get into an accident watching you go by.
good luck
