pull it out of the car and get some gorilla glue and a couple large c-clamps and clamp some flat surface between each side and apply the glue and let sit in desired position for a couple days and pull off the clamp my friend and i did it on his 87 bird came out flawless and never pulled out again i also did the same thing with the arm bars in my rs.
