Replacing seat reclining mechanism?
Replacing seat reclining mechanism?
Are new parts still available for the mechanism to recline the stock seats? I'd guess it would look something like this (though I think these are first-gen seats):

This would be for an 85 Bird. I couldn't find anything on AutoZone or RockAuto...

Re: Replacing seat reclining mechanism?
Thanks guys, I'll give one of my local dealers a call (it's a car I'm looking at buying). Reason I'm doing all this ahead of time is my current daily driver, a 94 Saturn, had lots of problems throughout its model range with seat recliners going bad -- and the mechanisms aren't available new & so finding non-broken seats at a junkyard was hard & expensive... thanks!
