Re: WHICH SEATS TO USE ???
i would spend the bucks - about 500 - and get some nice leather ones - both front seats power - with lumbar support.
you will have to get the connection harness - 115 but it will be worth it. and they are available in every color and you can bolt them right in. harness part number the same for all power seats made by gm - will have to get them out of tenn - but you order them from gmpartsdirect.com part number 12177553
i got fb seats from a 2002 and they are great. both power - only the drivers slides on the tracks with power but the passenger is full power except for that - and both have lumbar support. that means a connection hose, as the compressor is in the passenger seat.
but that is just me.
good luck - i got mine from e-bay and there is probably a yard around you where you can get them. but make sure both are power - go first class, none of that manual crap.

Re: WHICH SEATS TO USE ???
sorry been away.
the harness will let the lumbar supports work. i prefer to use the factory stuff because its plug and play, no messy do it yourself wiring. gm used the same harness for every set of power seats with lumbar supports. the vacumme fitting are a problem so using the factory ones is always a good idea. the fittings move air from the passenger seat to the drivers.
and yes, the harness connects the two seats so power comes from the fuse box to the drivers seat and then splits off to the passenger seat - no need for running two sets of power wires from the fuse box.
if you look you will see that you can make your own harness but for 100 bucks you have one that you know will fit.

Re: WHICH SEATS TO USE ???
yes got my seats,,, but oh no,, the pass seat frame is a little bent, so looks like ill have to take apart and fix. --On the vac lines for lumbar,, is the harness just for feed from pass seat to drivers ?? as im not up on these, so motor under pass is seat is just vacu supply . right ?

Re: WHICH SEATS TO USE ???
These cars have a fair amount of black in them anyway, should look fine. I had to replace me headliner and couldn't find red material to match, went with black. Looks fine. Might round up a set of black arm rests/door pulls for the doors? y
