New seats (Before and after)

Just scored these locally. From a 98 Camaro, very recently re-upholstered. My black ones were kinda worn, the leather was getting hard, and the padding was getting flat on the driver. I think it adds much needed spice to the interior - I was never too comfortable with the "pure black" look....FYI the picture makes my old ones look a lot better than they are.

Before: (original leather from a 95 Z28)

Man, they both look VERY nice! Nice touch too with the First Gen badging inside!

... but me thinks I am more partial to the all black interior :P

Lets see the rest of the car!

Were the seatbelts difficult to install?

Glad you like them. I still need to hook up my lumbar support. Did they clean up nicely?

Re: New seats (Before and after)

I thought about putting a later model set of seats in my 87,did you have to fab anything or did they go right in??Also what all years will fit in the third gen?

Re: New seats (Before and after)

The guy I bought them from did and Darkshot bought them from me. They were in great shape with I bought them, but they had a few things/marks from sitting that I didn't attempt to clean. Was just wondering if they were easy to get out.

They bolt right in. Any F-body seats from 1982-2002 will bolt right in.

Thanks. I needed a laugh.

A work in progress. So's mine. I keep telling the wife that it's keeping me off the streets and out of drugs.

Re: New seats (Before and after)

They're nice, but dont look good. Something more, Edgey? Something that gives the defined muscle look of the 3rd gen, these seats are to round I guess I would say, to suttle.

But the white and black definitely looks good inside, give some contrast to all that black...haha, which I also like.

I agree with everyone else that interior is killer. Classic and tastful with the 1 gen, 3rd gen, 4th gen blend.

Re: New seats (Before and after)

Thanks for the compliments. The old seats are available. I have them up on the SFBay craigslist site. I have no idea how to ship seats so I didn't put them up on here, but if somebody is that interested I'll see what I can do. I'm asking $360 for the full set...
