headliner help/question

I have a 89 camaro with t tops and my car leaks alot when it rains. So I decided I am going to try and fix all the leaks. I am gonna take down my headliner to see where all the leaks are, but I am scared that when I take my old headliner down I will mess it up or it will fall apart. So my question is should I buy a new headliner, like one of those abs plastic ones or are there any other brands that people have had more success with because I read alot about how those headliners hardly ever line up so that kind of makes me second guess buying one. Also, does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how I can take down my old headliner with out messing it up? Thanx

Ive also head that because the abs 1 doesnt use all the original clips, so it kind of sags or hangs in the middle. Does yours do this?
