any one ever made there stock center consoled a 2 piece? i hate how the center console is 1 piece and its a pain in the *** to take it apart just for 1 thing, like to take the trans out or some something

 

if you're referring to the 85 camaro you have listed, it is a 2-piece center console... top and bottom. And you don't have to remove the center console to remove the transmission, whether it's automatic or standard. It might help to remove the shift plate for a manual, but for an automatic you can detatch the shifter cable from the transmission itself. How would you want it to be divided?

 

i was referring to the bottom being 1 piece. most car have the radio and climate control in there own little pod thing. i always remove the bottome shift boot in my manual just to make it easier.

 

Just put a Firebird console in your Camaro. The center & radio/AC pod are already 2 separate sections.

You could do the 3rd gen Firebird AC/radio pod & a 4th gen center console.
