New old seats
I bought a set of used but in good/very good seats. What steps should I take to keep them in good shape? I know that sunlight and wear have the biggest impact, but is there anything I can do besides minimizing those two.

If leather a good leather cleaner and conditoner should be used regularly. I like Mcquires but any good product should work. The seams are important to keep from drying out but are annoying if the product leaves a residue there, use a soft tooth brush to clean the seams back up. Make sure it doesn't clean the dye off the leather.
If cloth keep clean and dry and out of the sun.
I'm not too sure about vinyl.
For daily use I would get some seat covers and throw over them and take them off for shows.
I keep my back seat folded down to keep to top of the seat from getting sun.
If its a t-top sun shades are easy to make.
If the car is parked outside a car cover does wonders for keeping the sun out and temp down.
