Important Question!! Kinda?!
basically my headliner is screwed..it has drooped down so low i cant even see out of the back window...and i was thinking about just ripping it out and wondered if anyone else has no headliner in their firebird or camaro and if it looks okay? maybe some pics?and are there any downfalls to having no headliner in your car besides getting a concusion if you hit a big bump? lol
Re: Important Question!! Kinda?!
If you drive it every day and want your car to look nice replace it.
I bought my Camaro without one, sorry don't have a pic for you though.
It shows the "frame work" for the roof, and it's not painted solid like the outside of the car. Dosen't look good at all.
Also if you drive you car at all when it's cold, the headliner will hold some heat in.

Re: Important Question!! Kinda?!
I ripped the one out of my 87 and left it out...since it fell to pieces. It was painted, and didnt look bad. I mean...there isnt much roof up there anyway. And I have an overhead console, so that cover the middle section nicely.
I think its ok for temporary conditions. Save your pennies and pick up a new ABS headliner. After driving my 87 without one for long, it was nice to get my 86 which had a perfect one. Just feels more finished and quiet inside. That plus my t-top shades really makes the car more complete feeling inside.
