My mom had an 83 Z28 that I loved and it had these on it. I have a 92 and I'd like to find me one to install. I like them most don't but it fits these cars to me.

could buy old/used but finding one with all the brackets is another story

Like the ones for over the back window? I know a site where u can get 3 piece metal ones new, Their not really my style, but I do love the ABS plastic ones how they curve, haven't found a good site for them yet, but I do agree they are nice.

Like I said its a preference, I have an iroc hood, so ABS all around =D.
but then again I live in IL and only drive my car for 6-7 months in a year.

 

Yeah I live in the deep south so I wonder how well that black plastic would hold up to the sun, seems like it would melt or "bow up".

 

I have a metal louver that came on my sisters 89' RS from the dealer. Missing the mounting hardware but only $150.00. I live just north of Dallas. Send me a PM if interested.

Those louvers pictured above appear to be factory originals. A little clean up and some trim paint and they'd look new. Unfortunatley, finding the hardware will be a nightmare.

yeah those are the ones i have. i dont have the other mounting piece on the bottom and im missing one of the screws. they're pretty sweet though.

since they're factory would i be able to go to a dealership and get the mounting hardware?

 

Probably not since they stop carrying parts for each year model after 10 years but you can always try.

 

Hey not going to hi-jack this thread just quick random question. The engine in your avatar is from the ZR1 correct? Anyone think it would fit into the 3rd gen engine bay without too many issues? Was just thinking how awesome it would be to have an engine with 600 hp? and good gas mileage. Also you could take the iroc hood and make em "functional" so that you could see thru to the sexy engine Sorry but didn't know what to post this in and didn't really want to start a whole thread for this anyway as i doubted there would be alot of interest...
