Console not lining up anymore

I've noticed lately that my console is "sliding" toward the passenger side. This is resulting in it not lining up perfectly with the radio pod, causing the plate around the radio and heater controls to pop off, and looks bad. Anyone have any idea what the cause of this is?

Re: Console not lining up anymore

If you remove the shift plate and look directly behind the shifter, you will see a bar attached to the console bolted to the shifter(autos) or to a bracket on the trans hump(manuals)

This controls left/right alignment. Chances are, yours is loose
The above bracket coupled with the glovebox bolts control front/rear alignment

Some alignment will come from the lower stud on the radio pod which commonly comes loose(or breaks) in 3rd gens
