Re: interior plastc paint/dye?

In my S10 I used some plastic dye made by VHT. It is expensive, but well worth it IMO. It turned out great when I done it 4 years ago.

However, my truck is garage kept so it sees little sunlight. Since I dyed the interior I have put about 10k miles on it. The tops of the door panels and the arm rests (places that are rubbed frequently with my arms) the blue underneath the black is starting to come through.

Im going to look for black panels to replace them, but if I cannot find/afford them, I will just dye them again.

Hope this helps.

I believe there's products from "SEM" that involve a wash/solvent and spray paint that apparently works. Haven't used it myself though. If you do a google search you'll find some retailers and they sell on e-Bay as well.

You can also get some adhesion promoter made by Duplicolor or Bulldog. That stuff makes paint bond very well to almost anything. The prep work is the most important part of a good durable paintjob.

Re: interior plastc paint/dye?

I cleaned mine really good with 'Mean Green', then I sprayed them with Duplicolor Adhesion Promoter, then I used SEM Colorcoat.

This worked fine for me.
