Pillar Pod Mounting Hardware
I just bought a 2 gauge pillar pod off Ebay for $40 shipped from a private seller.
After paying for this item, the seller tells me that it does not include the "mounting" hardware.
She says that she is selling it for her son and from what she can tell there appear to be holes in both ends which would leave me to believe all that is involved in mounting this is drilling a few screws?!
Can someone with one of these pods or who knows how they attach please shed some light on this? The seller has offered a full refund but if It's something as simple as just drilling a few holes than I don't think it would be worth the trouble to find another one. Although an extra measly $16 for a 3 gauge pod doesn't sound too bad either.
Do these things mount to the existing pillar using screws, do they replace the pillar using the factory clips or do they use their own proprietary mounting hardware? Thanks.

Re: Pillar Pod Mounting Hardware
the pillar pod goes on top of your existing a-pillar moulding just like a ...mold. You have to drill 4 or 6 holes (depending on your pillar pod) on your a-pillar. Like chad said, you can go to the autoparts or home improvement (Lowe's) store and get those little push clips. They look like plastic thumbtacks that have the little chirstmas tree pin and holds the pillar pod and pillar molding together... My autometer one came with them already but like I said, I've seen them at the autoparts and home improvement stores. Its nothing to worry about...
