5th gen seats??
I don't know if anyone's had a chance to actually drive one but the new 5th gen has a great interior and the seats are awesome. Anyone know if they'll fit in say a 91 RS?? any help is greatly appreciated. I've already seen at least 2 brand new camaros that have been wrecked so there must be at least 4 front buckets floating around right?? haha, anyway feedback please

Re: 5th gen seats??
nope. they will not directly bolt up. No doubt you can get seats but they are not going to be cheap. Might aswell go aftermarket...

Re: 5th gen seats??
haha, well I know I love the way they feel. and I also posted on another forum about a dash swap, but I would also love to see about swapping that 4 gauge consol in with the seats. I'm not sure about the seats if they would even fit right! the SS that I tried out was way too fast for me to remember how wide or tall they were I just remember that I loved that they were comfortable going around 80-90 and that they were't too short or tall they felt great

Re: 5th gen seats??
They are a bit wide. No doubt they can be placed within a 3rd gen. But there is a slight chance you might have to modify the center console and/or door panel...

Re: 5th gen seats??
i got into a 5th gen and did not like it. too close and confining. reminded me of my lotus europa - same feeling in it.
and i dont like being in a box that looks like the bastard child of a rice burner and a charger.
it lacks style.
ever notice that the 3rd gen looks a lot like the lines of a e-jag?
classic beauty for the 3rd gen - cardboard box for the 5ht gen!

Re: 5th gen seats??
but I thought the 5th gen was bigger/wider than a 3rd gen...a few inches makes a big difference...
as far as the style of the 5th gen... I really do not like the seats at all. They look "too regular" to me. The bolster don't "look" like they stick out at all...compared to all the other sports seats I've sat in. They are just too plain. I prefer something along the lines of Corvette seats.
I like the look of the car itself but to me it just seems too big and too bulky. I'm also a Pontiac guy...

Re: 5th gen seats??
j/w=just wondering
At the moment I can't recall what the 5th gen wheels look like (all the variations) but I would do the same if I had a Camaro. I would also try to get my hands on 5th gen badges aswell. I currently have 4th gen "Trans Am" emblems on my TA...

Re: 5th gen seats??
I have seen the new Camaro several times, sat in one too and it is pretty nice. GM did a great job bringing the Camaro back from the grave. That alone deserves our respect. I plan to buy the 50th Anniversary in 2011. Comparing it to a thirdgen is not fair. Two different cars and styles.
I suggest everyone go to Hertz and rent one for a week and then form an opinion.
