I am restoring a 1988 Iroc and the dash in it is trashed. I also have a 1992 RS for parts. I like that dash and cluster alot more. What do I need to do to be able to convert the clusters and or dash? Can I mate the interior wiring harness from the 92 to the 88?

 

There are some differences in the C100 Firewall connector. You can print out the diagrams for reference here:

You would need to re-wire the wiper wiring and maybe a few other wires here and there.... You will also need to check out the wires leading to/from the C207 connector as well.

Using these schematics as a guide - you should be able to complete the swap !

 

So it looks like quite an under taking. I was hoping you would tell me it would be a direct swap. What if i used my existing wiring harness?

 

i clicked on ur thread cuz i am having dash harness trouble to, and i noticed in ur post it says ur car is a 305 tbi.... i am looking for a tbi dash harness plz let me knw if u decide to upgrade i would be very interested in buying ur original dash harness if u would be interested in selling....

 

Well my 91 RS parts car has Tbi I'll sell that one to you if it'll work for your setup.
