Firewall Carpet Pad

I took all the interior parts out of my 1990 Firebird, including the carpeting, to patch the holes that have rusted through the floorboard over the past 20 years. I plan on replacing the carpeting. However, there is one piece of padding I cannot seem to find. It was soaked, so it needs to be replaced. It is directly under the dash along the firewall. It was precut to fit in back of the pedals, etc, and held on by circular plastic pieces from one side of the car to the other. Does anyone have a name for this piece and know how to get a replacement? It doesn't seem to be in the complete carpet kits offered. Thanks.

Re: Firewall Carpet Pad

Did it look like the same materail that was under the carpet? It is the sound deadening pad. Part number F264 at Classic Industries is the kit for the 82-92 F-body. I'm not possitive, but it should come with the piece you need. Maybe give them a call to confirm.
