grant steering wheel HELP!!

grant steering wheel HELP!!

ok i hav in stalled a grant steering wheel on my 91 formula but heres the deal i cut the collar back casue it was rubbing but now the steering when turnd all the way to left or right it trys to click the turn signal and it sounds like its crushing something in the colume, and its got tight spots where its really stiff to turn and its got a lose spot where it will jump about and inch in either direction reall fast..... car was air bag going to take it off 2 day and check just want to know if maybe i some destroyed the colum somehow thanks

Went through the same thing with mine. Removed the clock spring, and it works fine. No more clicking, and grabbing the turn signal. The clock spring is held in place with a small snap ring aroun the main shaft. You can unplug it under the dash and pull the pigtail out with it, or just cut the wires.
