Is This Factory?
I've always wondered. On my console in the little valley where the E-Brake rests, there is a small hole going through the console. It does not appear to be sloppily drilled so I was just wondering is this factory as it doesn't appear to serve any purpose.

Re: Is This Factory?
I would have to say no, no holes exist on any of the cars i've taken apart or owned.

Re: Is This Factory?
can you post a picture? on my '84 TA there is a torx head screw under the e-brake that holds the console top to the base. not sure if this is the hole you're talking about.

Re: Is This Factory?
It was nor factory. You can see on the backside where a drill went through.
The console is out cause I'm restoring the interior. So I just filled the hole with bondo before painting the console.
Wonder what the heck he used it for
