1987 trans am hatch latch help

Re: 1987 trans am hatch latch help
Yes, your '87 is supposed to have a hatch motor. The body brackets are different so you can't put a normal latch on it without welding in different brackets. The hatch motor wiring is part of the tail light harness so you can always get a new harness with the hatch motor wiring. However, it seems wierd that somebody would take out the wiring. (It wouldn't make much sense.) Are you should it's not just tucked behind one of the interior panels?
Re: 1987 trans am hatch latch help
Yes im pretty sure but ill make 100% sure. but the 3 rear most panels are ripped out and i look for about an hour and did not find a thing.
so much for your help. EDIT: yes i just look and there is no sign of the wiring being there what would you suggest to be the easiest way to fix this?
