Shifter plate backing

I just finished installing a new t5 into my 84 camaro, and I have the entire interior stripped as its needs replacing. The question I have is what is the piece that goes around the shifter where it comes up from the tranny. I have like an inch of clearance around where the tranny sits at the base of my floorboards thats needs to be plugged up. There are bolt holes in the floorboard for the piece, but I have no diea what its called, or where I can get one. Thanks in advance.

Re: Shifter plate backing

I think your talking about the lower shifter boot, it screws to the floor . I found mine in a junk yard, but i think yearone make a new replacement.
