DoorSweep Question
I didnt want to crash the Thread on the 1A window sweeps but I did also receive a set- so far they look good.
But I am stuck-
I did remove the inner door panel, then rolled the window down as far as it goes, what happens next is the window ( Very Top ) blocks 2 of the screws to the old sweep- I looked in the door frame to see if there was a way to lower window further, but the T bracket on the rear end of the window(track) hits the bottom of the door?!
So how do I do this?
Seems so simple of a replacement yet it seems I am going to have to remove the window?
No way.
I got to be just stupid at this point and over looking the obvious .
Any help be great thanks

Re: DoorSweep Question
remove the two ten millimeter bolts that are holding the fuzzy rubbers and that should allow you to pull the window towards the car by an inch so that you can get a 7 mm wrench in there to get the last 2-3 bolts.
Mark where the 10 mm bolts were with a pen or something on the bracket to make re-installation a breeze on aligning.

Re: DoorSweep Question
I've also read where several folks removed the rubber stopper at the bottom of the window track - that gave them enough extra drop of the window to get to the few remaining bolts.

Re: DoorSweep Question
Ok, I will try the felt guids, I also noticed ( cuase I have tinted windows ) light marks on the tint side were the felts are located- maybe I should re- adjust,
If so and thoughts on a good standard postition- 1/4 off?
I also see that the window goes down pass the sweep and just sits in under one bolt- thus when opening it - it just catches- has not caused any real damage but has groove that spot-
I saw it before just never knew why that was there and considering the age- thought it was somthing that happen a couple years ago...
any ideal how to fix that.
I think That I will see about getting a piece of felt and maybe place it were the bolt is ( double side over it ) so that it dont make the groove worse or chip and crack the glass.
Thanks for the fast replies
