Re: 145 speedo overlay??

I have the reverse glow 145 mph speedo gauge set....was like $14 on ebay for whole set, they look awesome, white faced until you turn them on then like a turquoise bluish color....I'll find my purchase name and see who I bought it from if I can and let you know....if I can.

Re: 145 speedo overlay??

I had some in my old 89 Mustang and they looked like crap with the lights on. To each his own. They where hard to see. Just something to think about. I like the overlays are a lot better and u can choose the color led's to put behind them. Also led's last a long time.

Are you on the phone or something?

Isn't the stock backlighting the easiest to see and the easiest on the eyes? Seems to me that overlays are for looks and nothing more.

Those overlays look like garbage... I pray that someday people will stop giving thirdgens the Uncle Ben's treatment.

Same type. Cant see them at night. Gauges are ment to be seen not blacked out. Heres an idea. Get a chrome sheet and cover them. Would see just as good then. Would be fine if the needles light up but in my 89 they dont. They might light up in the 90-92 but would it be bright or still hard to see? Guess u can find someone that has them to post a pic.

Re: 145 speedo overlay??

Re: 145 speedo overlay??

Yes they will not read right. Their is some calculations needed and a new gear in the trans. Never done one on my car but on a diesel rig the gear is what the cable plugs into inside the trans. Search it.
