Fiberglass interior good idea or bad idea
I hope that i didnt fail at searching, but what i was thinking since im wanting to change the color of the interior of my car to make a fiberglass panels and hope that it would be cheaper than going to Hawks(nothing against them) or would i be spending as much as i would buying from hawks. i kinda wanted to get it so it would match the exterior paint that i would be painting. im not afraid of hard work, but i dont want to end up with 600 in the hole when i could have bought it for 250. the paint i would end up using probably be the same paint as i used on the exterior.
if any of you guys have suggestions im all ears, im just trying to make my bird stand out a bit

couldn't you just use a plastic primer of some sort and just spray the plastic you have? there are guys on here that have changed color on interior with paint/primer for plastic but not sure if they used reg body paint.
or are you going with something custom?

so you want to make a totally custom interior out of fiberglass? good luck. Look into the plastic dyes to recolor the interior or get new panels. Making panels to replace the interior ones will take a lot of time and work. Probably spend a few hundred on just the fiberglass and other supplies to make the parts, and then you still have to mold them somehow.

Re: Fiberglass interior good idea or bad idea
well i thought about going and doing something custom, but i think that it might require a higher skill set than what i have, i would use a dye but i have heard that they don't last very long, or maybe it was the plastic paint, i know i used some plastic pain before and the paint has stared to peal, but that may have been because i didn't so something right. i would love to goto a junkyard but im noticing that most of the yards here dont have the color interior that im looking for, i would goto hawks but i dont think that they have all the pieces im looking for, and i have a hard time justifying 250 + shipping for something like that if i could make it. So in other words if anybody you know that has a complete black interior for a firebird and looking to sell im buyin ;D

What black parts do you need? I have a lot of black interior pieces, I could load 'em all up in the back of my truck and meet you somewhere...
They're from a Camaro, but I think most parts are the same, aside from the dash.
I'm only 20-30 miles away from you, on the other side of the hood canal bridge.
