Roll Cage Questions

Hi Guys.

For this project

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/memb...-z28-iroc.html

I am looking for a cage.

Now, somebody in here gave me this link:

http://www.spohn.net/shop/1982-1992-...d-Accessories/

So far so good. Prices are great. I asked them for the shipping and they told me its gonna be 465 Dollars for a product that cost only 250 bucks.

Thats pretty insane. Im not sure yet if they guy/girl made a mistake and dont know that Puerto Rico is part of the US, but I might even do some own research.

What I would like to know right now is some kind of reference for a regular price just to weld in the cage into the car. Did somebody do that and how much did you guys payed?

Because I got some wild first prices here that would cost me more than the car itself.

Thanks alot and Happy New Year.

Re: Roll Cage Questions

I just did some research and saw the same cage on Ebay for 50 bucks more but only 125 shipping instead of 465.

I guess the people from Spohn didnt knew that Puerto Rico is part of the US and gave me some kind if international shipping price.

Re: Roll Cage Questions

Ask them again. I tried getting a quote to puerto rico but to no avail. I told them they quoted you at $465 and was told that was A LOT. So give them a call again or use their online chat to figure this out. Also their cages are shipped FedEx only and they need a full address to get a quote. Hope it works out for you, as I am trying to get a Spohn cage but can't find any reviews on fitment and options being used as far as straight bar vs bars to clear OEM handles as well as the swing out setup, and if the swing out setup works with the bars that clear OEM handles. Might have to go back to Spohn and ask their tech some of these questions. Especially since they have no true pictures of their cages in our cars.
