Need Help ASAP

What do I do?
I attached a picture, if you look closely you can see that in my shifter a piece of metal broke in half, it's the piece at the bottom on the picture. Its stuck in drive right now, any suggestions?

Cant really see it at all in the pic but best bet is to get a new stock shifter as I bet that one is toast for sure

yeah i figured lol, what do you think about a b&m shifter? it would replace the part that broke, worth it?

Do you have a shift kit in your tranny?? From what I remember if you do you can get the full feel of shifting it manually if not all you can do is use it like your stock one and just put it in drive. If you are just going to drive it like its a stock one i suggest to leave it the way it is but thats up to you. Save the coin and put it into something else for the car.

im weighing all options right now, i would rather not spend the money on the b&m lol im pretty sure that i can shift it back into park from under the tranny

You could do that or just shove a couple of pieces of 4X4's or bricks under the tires as that works as well but like i said its up to you saves you time goin unde the car.

Either that as those parts might be haqrd to come by or hit a wrecker for a used one as I dont think it would cost you more than $10 for it. If I had my old one I would have sent it to you if you wanted it.

yeah theres a junk yard a few miles away with an 88 iroc, ill have to check it out tomorrow

hey its only 4 bolts and a couple c-clips and its out and cheaper in the long run as well

looks like it broke before and some idiot tryed to weld it back together from the broken edges......i mean having it tack welded would probably work, but it would have to have a plate either over or under the original break to work well at all....
