89 Converting to power windows from crank
How hard is this? I can do just about any work on a car but wanted to know how extensive the power window from factory crank add-on is.
I figure its:
wiring harness already exists
add motors in the doors
add covers over holes in door panels
add center console switches
add plug in relay in fuse block
anything I missed?

window regulators, electric is different than manual(crank). Make sure the wire that goes between door and body is good and the rubber in the window tracks. Go here this will help http://www.p71interceptor.com/thirdgen/powerwindows/

It's not too hard to convert to power windows and locks. We offer a kit that gives you just about everything you need. Here's a link if you're interested or you can at least see what you'll need.

Thanks very much. Very good info. And a bit more extensive than I would have guessed.

Its really not that bad. Figure first day do the wireing, the second install the window parts (should install power locks at same time). The third adjusting the windows and closing everything up. If you try to do it in one day its crazy. You will need a large pop rivet tool(not the short handle ones at home depot) to install regulators and motors, it looks like you can use screws but only in a couple of places.
