home made back seat delete cover

i want to do some custom back seat delete covers done like i see on overhaulin and other TV shows where they build a frame then stretch fabric over it and coat it with resin... has anyone done it and have pics? would love some pointers maybe a template lol also was thinking of stretching vinyl or some sort of durable highly plyable material over the most of the interior plastic pieces (not the dash or center console) because mine are pretty much as faded as a 23 year old car interior can get

Had to say it. Anyway many people have done this, as most are used for custom systems and storage. There is a company that already makes these for our cars, I just can't remember the name. Someone will chime in.

I've only seen ONE place that does, but nobody likes the price. And they appear to be simple wood panels covered in carpet. And they are actually listed for 4th gens, but we all know they would fit good in a 3rd gen as well.

might as well make my own huh? prolly make it look better anyway, just fyi im not gonna put even more stereo components into my car, a head unit and 4 speakers are enough weight for me lol besides i barely listen to it while im driving (not a daily driver) id rather listen for tire yawl and exhaust note

i just want the back to look a little cleaner thats all

I took the seat backs out, but left the bottoms in, to fill in the depressions & give my 100lb Rottie a place to ride, other than the other front seat.

Re: home made back seat delete cover

yeah i guess the bottoms dont weigh too much... dam big dog costs you 2 tenths lol...
just out of curiosity is there anywhere i can buy a roll of lightweight plyable cheap carpet that will fit the whole car?? i know walmart has cheap stuff but youd have to lay 3 peices down perpendicular and then youd have the gaps from the edges ya know?

Try a fabric store like (what is near me) http://www.hancockfabrics.com/. I got me a 54" wide roll of black pleather there.
