Anyone ever removed the gear indicator from the console of a 82 TA? I'm trying to get mine apart to clean and repaint it and want to remove the gear indicator to. Its held in by what looks like speed nuts but they're completely flush and won't turn. I'm trying not to damage them so I can reuse them. Any advice?
