Hawks has a good selection of seat covers for us. I refinished my 89 not long ago with one of their sets. If the foam padding is damaged, it's not hard to repair that either, I used some 1/2" high density foam from Jo Ann's (2-1/2 yard roll) and some heavy duty spray adhesive by Lock-Tite to rebuild mine.

Re: Third Gen seats

How well do those covers from Hawk's work? Isn't it better to have the seats professionally reupholstered?

The Hawks covers are great quality and come with everything you need to do the job yourself, including hog rings and hog ring pliers. I would have spent at least twice as much to have an upholstery shop do the job, I already did with my other car a few years ago.

Hawks is just the middle man, they just sell the covers pre-made.

Re: Third Gen seats

4th Gen seats will bolt right in easy as pie and i have read some threads here where guys have purchased complete front and rears in excellent condition anywhere from $60 - $250 at junk yards and such.

Save alot of money and get some sweet late (er) model seats.

I don't need seats yet but i am keeping my eye open for a nice 4th Gen black interior anyway..

Re: Third Gen seats

Maybe consider aftermarket? I got my original seats, they look great but sometimes hurt my back.
