Engine: 350 ci, Performer RPM package.
Transmission: T5
Axle/Gears: 7.5", Detroit TrueTrac, 3.73
Swap for a newer heater control?
Does anyone know if 3rd gen heater controls are all interchangeable?
I have an 83 T/A and I've thinking about swapping out the heater control for one out of a newer 3rd gen that looks a little nicer.
Anyone ever do this?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe for Camaro's, all HVAC controlls were the same. For firebirds, they were the same as the camaro's until '90, when they switched to the gray plastic one with the red/blue bar for Heat/AC. I know the Camaro's are interchangeable with the firebird of the same style. The newer Firebird one I BELIEVE was just a cosmetic change, i.e. the only change was the front plate. Everything should bolt right up...

Actually, Now that I think about about it...I believe they changed to the newer style with the body change in '85.
I also recall someone using a push button one out of a Fiero and getting that to work.
