fabric paint?

so im doing a interior color change of my seats and door panels to black, and i want to change my carpet and headliner black also. i have seen mixed opinions on fabric paint and i dont know if it would be worth it to paint them or get new carpet and headliner, i hate to get new ones because they are still in perfect conditon but wont match my seats or door pannels. so fabric paint good or bad?

Re: fabric paint?

I painted the entire interior in my car from tan to black with duplicolor fabric paint now I did paint the carpet and it does look good but it will feel a bit more rough than a new carpet would. Once I have enough I'm getting new carpet but for now I'm pretty happy with it as for the headliner mine was saggy but i did try to spray it on and it looked like crap I replaced the fabric on my headliner myself for about 60 bucks total. If you plan on painting the carpet make sure you move it around with your hand after it dries so you really fill in the color or the other color will show through.
