I was wondering if the third gen front seat adjuster lever/hinge assembly is the only part that controls/operates the adjusting and folding forward of the front seat, or does it operate with springs elsewhere in the front seat assembly?

The reason I ask, I want to use one of these seat adjusters to install on an older front seat and make it fully adjustable, but I am not sure if I would need just the adjuster assembly itself or other parts from a third gen front seat as well?
