Ideas for placement of extra gauges

Ok guys (and ladies), I am looking for ideas of where I could mount a few extra gauges in my car. I am driving an 86 trans am and I want to install oil temp, vacuum, and wide band gauges in there. I will likely be going with 2-1/16 gauges, but maybe even 2" - it really just depends on which ones I like better and where I end up placing them. I thought about going with gauge pods on the column but I have never been a huge fan of those. I was wondering if anyone has placed any gauges (without modifying the stock cluster) someone on the trans am.

The only place I could think of would be possible to mount them to the right of where the middle two AC vents are.

Any ideas, and hopefully pictures, would be awesome!

Thanks everyone!

there's differnt trim panels youcan buy for the i believe it's the A-Pillar, that'll be able to accomodate them and still look good.

in my opinion they look good...

Thanks for the reply. I said column, but I really meant to say the pillar. The ones that are mounted to the left and above the dash using the plastic "pods". Those are the ones that I am trying to avoid if possible.
