3rd/4th gen seats in a Corvette?
Does anyone know, or have you ever put 3rd/4th gen seats in a corvette?
I've got a really nice set of black leather seats from a 4th gen and am looking at a corvette that needs seats.
thanks in advance,
Robert

What year Corvette? I know my IROC seats wouldn't fit in my 95 vette. Buy the Vette and hit up Mid America Motorworks for new leather! New leather smells awesome!

So you want to replace the excellent vette seats w/ good side support with something less???
Also, the vette seats are real narrow, there is no room. I don't think it would even fit.
90 sport seats are the best seat out there, although the gear boxes can be a little crappy they have all the nice options. Adjustable side support, inflatable supports and fully electric, even the reclining. I like the ones in mu 90 better than in the 91 (has no power recline but manual)

Vette seats definitely look narrower than F-Body...the 84 seats are ugly as can be IMO, so I could see why you'd want to swap them. The 1988-93 sport seats are the best C4 seats IMO, although my "larger" friends prefer the 1994-96 seats as the bolsters are very tight in the 1988-93s, but I like them (88-93 style) since I only weigh 150 lbs and they seem to hold me in place better. Honestly I don't think any Corvette has had a seat as good since then.

I agree...they are the best seats. C5 seats don't have the side support, whether being the sports or the base (it's the same seat only diff is the cover w/ or without the hole) and the C6s are similar to the 5s.
