head liner!!

so my head liner was falling inside my car from sitting awhile so i decided to redo it because it looked like crap and annoyed me....

so when i was takeing it off i accidently broke some of the clips that hold the head liner up to the sealing of the car.... now that it is all re felted it will not stay up on the sealing

my question is does anyone know where i can buy new clips at or how i could rigg it up there?

i had thoughts about just putting a screw threw the thing but then i dont want it to look like ****!

stupidd me for breaking the clips!!!

let me know

THANKSS!!!

Re: head liner!!

i run into this problem alot at my shop. the factory clips just arent made pop out and pop in. if you use sticky backed velcro (two pieces one for roof the other for headliner board) most of the way across the front it will hold it up just fine. the sunvisor brackets take care of the ends.

Re: head liner!!

Timatom, I've got the same problem, but unless I'm mistaken, the new headliner boards made out of that molded plastic apparently don't need clips! But I'm sure you don't want to go spend money on that if you actually got the headliner re-glued fine.

That cardboard foamy nonsense in mine is all torn up, because people like to say "You know your ceiling stuff is sagging?" And stick their finger right through it. Hopefully with the plastic I won't have that problem.

Re: head liner!!

yeah i had the same problem with some little holes... insted of buying a new head liner foam thinggy i just decided to fix mine with some card board... i just cut the bad holes out and fited a piece of card board in there and glued it... it was a little bit of work but it looks good... the only thing holding me back is the stupid clips. i went to the dealer and the told me that they dis continue them. so im going to have to rigg up some velcrow, or figure something out....

Re: head liner!!

All the aftermarket ones are plastic (which is what GM should have done to begin with). Now if they get wet your headliner wont be ruined. 1A on this site sells them or you can find them on ebay...Right around $225 shipped
