Re: Fuel pump help
On the parts car? That sucks, Thats why I always do my own cutting/removing at yards. Last time I called a yard and told them to take off the dash of a 91 they had. Long story short, when I got there the guy said there was no way to take it off without using force and cracked it. I got in the yard for free though from his screw up.
Also word of advice, just to make it easier for you next time or the guy after you. Keep the underside clean and do a clamp on exhaust. It was a pain to remove my rusted out panhard bar and brace bolts and 2 year old exhaust to get the tank out. As for putting it back in. If you decide not to drop the diff like me, your gonna struggle. In the end for me I had to bend the filler neck back into shape after It was installed.

Re: Fuel pump help
How far are they from the lines? or are they too far gone to do anything? I have done other vehicles mainly our 94 GMC Jimmy and used Rubber fuel lines, with reinforcement from a local small parts store and nothing has gone wrong in over 5 years and I checked it about a month ago. Lines are the same as the day I installed them. So if theres enough space for a good grip and clamp. I would do that route for now.
Edit:
Oh snap, Is it more or farther or in general? Are the lines there near where the pump connector goes on top of the Driveshaft tunnel? There should be 3 lines there. If not then like I said, visit a shop or parts store that carries lines and make them yourself. Should be simple not rubber of course but metal.
