Couple interior shots, new hardware for door filler/ground effect
Hey everyone
Just wanted to post a couple pictures and for those who are trying to figure out how to attach the door filler pieces, here are a couple pictures of the hardware installed. I went with the 1/4" washers so that the pressure is spread out on the door and new self tapping nuts that use a 10mm socket.
Applied some 3M gasket adhesive, the sticky yellow stuff... to the stud base, then held the door filler against the door. Lightly coated the door filler stud that pokes through the door with Loctite stick, and then put the washer and nut on. After tightening the nuts up, applied some more 3M gasket adhesive around the washers, nuts and studs. The stuff is sticky! I thought about using body panel adhesive but my paint supplier suggested just using my 3M gasket adhesive with the nuts.. Worked great!
