87 IROC Power Seat

I am new to the forum, and would like to know if someone can give me a brief tutorial on power seats. I have a power driver's seat, but it doesn't work. I am assuming there's some kind of relay that may be bad, but I have no idea where to find it..or how much a new one costs, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

my car didnt come with power seats, but when i put them in, it seemed that the wiring would put the relay behind the kick panel on the driverside.

Switch itself operative? Bad motor? If your defogger or power door locks don't function, check the circuit breaker seen in the following link:

Re: 87 IROC Power Seat

Thank you, James...this should help a great deal. The original seat didn't work, but one of the motors was broken. I figured the chances of TWO seats that don't work were unlikely, since the replacement is in real good shape.
