As the title says, I need a pic of the late-model 6-speed shift plate. Not of the top, of the bottom, where the shift boot attaches to the plate. I got the console without 3 parts: Shift boot, TCS/2nd gear start switch and plate, and the console armrest. I have a boot, but it's one of those swap-it-to-the-existing-trim ring boots (I call the mounting bracket a trim ring). Problem with that is that I don't have a trim ring for the boot, and most of them break when removed (probably what happened to this one). I'm working on fabbing one up that might even be a little bit stronger than the old one, but I don't have anything to go on at the moment other than the basic shape. So, I need a pic of how the boot attaches to the shift plate.

 

boot attaches to the trim ring and the trim ring pops into the console.
there are 2 or 3 tabs the trim ring pops into, just look at your console and you will see the tabs.
there was someone on Camaroz28.com that was making metal trim rings to replace the plastic ones that keep breaking.
mine broke as well and my shiftboot got really hard so I just slapped a boot I had in the garage on, but it's not mounted just sitting over the shift rod and inside the the console hole.
