hey, i have a 83' berlinetta, 305 auto tranny. i was thinkin of rippin out (not literally lol) the dash and custom fitting a new one made of stainless steel or black painted metal, equipped with just a speedometer. i have the fuel gauge and temp on the pillar and a tach mounted on the side where the cig. lighter is. would this speedo work?

... i could understand if the is 100% show car but the steel will be wayyy heavier that the plastic ...i would go with aluminum if anything ...i cant pull up that speedo on this comp so couldnt tell ya if it would..

 

yeaa, well some kind of thinner sheetmetal painted black. idk tho. its a nice speedo, looks the same as my sunpro tach. tht greenish color with black face, red needle and white numbers..only costs 100 bucks.

 

are you talking about replacing the entire dash with metal or just were the gauges are?

 

lol, just tht little squarish peice where the gauges are..nothin special. just was gonna take tht peice out, outline it and where the holes are on a peice of sheetmetal and cut it out. put the center hole where the speedo is and cut two holes out for some LED's for the blinkers.

will do..just gotta find some cheap sheetmetal and a speedo lol. already have some green LED's..(matches my neons inside and out)
